How to turn off an old Peerless gas heater?
So, I have to deal with an old Peerless gas heater which has a gas knob that is stuck. It doesn't budge even with oil. I was wondering if it's safe to turn the heat down to the minimum, without turning the gas off, and then blowing the pilot light out. Will that leak gas?
Does anyone know whether these old models (VC 20A) have thermocouples?
I should have mentioned: It's a room heater, not a water heater. Do older models of those have thermocouples as well?
