Can I add a one-way air vent to my help laundry tub drain faster? And can this vent be below the water line?
I have a slow draining laundry tub. I am attempting to add a one-way airvent after the p-trap, because of space concerns can this one way airvent be mounted below the laundry tub and therefore below the water line in the laundry tub? Or does the vent have to be above the waterline created in the laundry tub for this set -up to work effectively? The air vent I am talking about can be seen on the Oatey plumbing product website.
You can use a Studor vent for this application, But it must be mounted above any anticipated water height, just being a smart a-- here, but how can an air vent work, if it is underwater??

These systems are the most common and most efficient for climate control, and also the quietest systems since all of the mechanisms are housed outside.

Remember when choosing an air conditioning system that government environmental restrictions are currently changing what chemicals manufacturers can use as refrigerants, so it is important to consider this when choosing a system, as it may effect how your unit can be serviced in the future.
